Well it is a new term and therefore a new topic in 2CJ!
This half term we are going to be doing an arts topic looking at the different seasons!
Today we made some amazing posters for each of the season just so show off how much we already know!
Here is a fun game to test if you can match the pictures to the seasons!

My favourite season is Spring! I love it when the days get longer and you can start going out in the evenings! My birthday is also in Spring but I don’t think that has anything to do with my decision!!!

Spring; winter is over and there is a promise of warm weather. Everything is starting again and you can go out most of the time!

Autumn is my favourite season. This is because I love watching the colours on the leaves changing and then walking in the forest and kicking piles of leaves in the air.

Summer is my favourite season because I live so far north that we have very long days. In the middle of summer it doesn’t get dark at all (we call it Simmer Dim). Now its the middle of winter we don’t get many hours of daylight.

As you know 2CJ my favourite season is Summer because my birthday is then! But I also love winter because of all the fun playing in the snow!

Autumn is my favourite season. I just love the changing colours in nature and the idea that trees are getting ready to sleep for winter.

My favourite season has to be Winter – I love Christmas and crisp cold days. There is always the chance of snow too which always makes me happy and I like snuggling up under a blanket with a cup of hot chocolate – wonderful.

I love summer the most (it’s summer right now, so I am VERY happy!)
Why? Because all the other seasons are too cold for me, so cold that I can’t concentrate and just keep thinking about how I wish I’d worn warmer clothes!
Of course, I shouldn’t be grumpy at winter here, because it doesn’t snow in Sydney (Australia)!
Summer is also magnificent, and the sun shines for longer, which is a very cheerful thing.

I love summer best, the weather is nice and warm and the days are long as well! Coupled with being able to eat ice cream to cool you down!
