Class 2CJ

We went on a tram to Bulwell to look at some shops and we saw houses.

We did some sketching of different things we had seen on our walk through Bulwell.  We also did a tally chart of what we had seen.

Lois: In geography we learned about where we live!

Jacob: In geography we learned about North, East, South and West. We remember it: Never Eat Shredded Wheat or Naughty Elephants Spray Water!

Kevin: I played with Rafal on the new playground!

Reis: We went to Vernon Park and did PE there!

Thierry: We wrote ideas for the old junior school to the council of what they could turn it into. I thought they could turn it into a water park!

Amy: Yesterday I had an idea to make the junior school into a playing field but I don’t want it to be knocked down because you could let the children play in it!

Jessica: On Monday we went on a walk to see what is around Basford.

Molly: Last week we did a poster that had the ABC and we looked for stuff that began with each letter of the alphabet around the new school.

We have been very busy!!!

We are having the most amazing first week in our brand new school building! We have been very busy! We have been exploring, set new targets, created a model of the school and proved beyond a doubt that 2CJ are the best team ever! Here are some photos of what we have got up to so far…

Well today was our last day in our old school!
We had a lot of fun doing all sorts of things to remember our old building. We made some easter chickens that stand up, we made a disco in the hall and we even had an extra playtime this afternoon!

It was so much fun. We all came back into the class and had a yummy drink together.

With our new school in mind our last literacy topic was looking at information books and we made ours all about buildings!

We made some buildings and then created our own fact books about them!

This week we are looking at the RE question:
“Is the bible just another boring book?”

We are looking at what Christians believe and started yesterday looking at the story of creation. We acted out the story in the hall which was great fun, made some fantastic pictures and even created some 2diy games in 20 mins to show you it!

We then had a mini debate about evolution or creation. Why not leave a comment saying what you thought at the end of it?

I have just seen that 2SC have there own class pet on their blog and thought we should have one to! But what animal should we have?
